welcome to the new age

an old dog's new trick

monday louise thinks that it is hilarious to play dead for her little sister, vivian. vivian thinks it is super funny to poke her big sister* with a stick until she wakes up. surprisingly, this activity will keep both children happily amused for several hours. what a wonderful life to be amused by such simple things.

also, on a side note...after carefully looking at these pictures and realizing that we are completely finished with renovations inside the house, we have decided to sod the yard...(and joan sighs in relief!)

*please note that NO dogs, nor little girls, were harmed during this filming involving many, many, sticks.

great "day's" at the park...

we are finally able to leave the house....NO MORE PUKING FOR ME, and...

the weather has finally turned. this week has been a beautiful, sunny, 75 degrees with no humidity (i know it is hard to believe that arkansas has no humidity, but it is true!!) sometimes clif's unconventional work hours are to our advantage, and today was one of those days. we decided to take a picnic lunch to burns park and let vivian play on the playground for toddlers....apparently toddler's aren't the only ones who enjoy the playground. check out clif on the mini rock wall!

to our surprise one of vivian's favorite things was picking up wood chips...when her daddy told her they were wood chips, she calmly looked at him....held one in the air, and said "WOOD CHIPS!!"...like, duh dad.

it was truly a great time, so good in fact that as i type the other day's are fast asleep in their beds...a perfect opportunity for me to catch up on my latest read in peace on the back porch!!!

finally an update...

so this is just a test run, to see if i really have this under control. i will obviously need an in service from my sis-n-law, su! i still can't seem to get the pictures to download in the appropriate place...but keep checking back...i am DETERMINED to figure this out! here's one of the little miss to tide you over. she is now a GREAT lover of SPAGHETTI, as you can clearly see!!!

on a slightly different note, clif and i are steadily approaching our 5th year anniversary. and i am desperately looking for a little "something" to pull...you know like a getaway or a day retreat...any ideas? let me know! also, in case you didn't know my sis-n-law isn't the only one with a great blog. shannon has BEAUTIFUL pictures of our favorite boy, jackson, at www.ourcrowsnest.blogspot.com. check her out!!
