cupcakes cuties

when i was a kid my mother was pretty laid back about everything...but missing school. anything short of pneumonia and you were on your way. i can probably count on one hand how many days i missed. therefore, it was ALWAYS a very special day when you were picked up early, especially for no reason at all. last week when i was running some errands i noticed a new bakery in the historic district where we lived. and it gave me an idea....
the next day bauer and i got dressed up, and picked miss vivian up from school early. we all headed to the bakery for a little treat. vivian picked chocolate and bauer picked strawberry.

sometimes it is necessary to break from routine....oh, and to eat cupcakes!
