bedtime surpises

since being blessed with clif's new schedule, we have been able to have "regular" family time. we eat dinner together, play, take baths, and have more playtime. it is GREAT! but having spent most of their lives (not to mention our married life) under a different routine, it has been a bit of an adjustment. HOWEVER, lately bedtime has been full of wonderful surprises.

bauer proves he is getting to be a big boy...who can stand without assistance (and even take a few steps). but the biggest surprise has been miss vivian.

about thirty minutes after we thought she had fallen asleep we heard talking, and this is what we found*. she was reading herself stories.

what a sweet girl! and apparently unbeknown to us, bedtime is a formal event. hence the change of wardrobe before we fell asleep! ;)

*yes, that is our child sleeping on the floor. when i went to dallas, clif bought her a princess sleeping bag...now she wants to sleep in it all the time. folks, trust me on this one, if your child is willing to sleep...you really don't want to argue with the "where" part as long as it is safe, and not with you! :)

1. Tell that Bauer to sit back down and stay a BABY... I'm not ready for him to be so big! =)

2. Natalie is SO proud of Vivian's bedtime book habit - it looks verrry familiar to her bedtime routine!

3. I too would accept the sleeping in the sleeping bag, absolutely! If she's happy to go to sleep, so be it! =)

I couldn't agree more about the "where they sleep" theory........as long as their comfy, that's all that matters!

I can totally relate to the great new routines! With the move, Seth gets home from work by 5:30ish most of the time now. We don't know what to do with ourselves having that extra hour together. We sure love it though! He loves sleeping later in the mornings too!
